Stravinsky- from Petrushka

This has caused in nothing! As I’ve not updated here for a long time (mostly because of lack of audiences/viewers) in my new attempt I prefer to put two of his works. The long post I want to write about him will be for his Rite of Spring ballet which is about 34 minutes long!
Now I invite you to listen to Russian Dance and Petrushka from Ballet Petrushka, by Igor Fedorovitch Stravinsky, one of the most talented musicians of history.
Russian Dance- Petrushka Ballet, Igor Stravinsky
Petrushka- Petrushka Ballet, Igor Stravinsky

it takes more time to start liking a classical music for me. i have to be patient. i guess people that don’t like classical music are just not patient enough.
the richer the music is, the more it takes time to understand.
blog readers are not so patient either. this makes a music blog like yours have a little number of visitors.
on the other hand, commenting about stravinsky or borodin is so difficult as you see i’m almost not commenting on them!

Dear Idin;
That’s true. It’ll take a little time. I don’t remember whose words these were, but it was said that a great piece of music is the one that at the first time you’d think you don’t like it; on the second you’ll find it interesting, and after third you can’t stop listening to it!
I think that’s true for many classical pieces, but to be honest, some one like Stravinsky is really hard to understand for the beginners. The truth is that for many ordinary classical music listeners, it’s difficult to understand Ravel or Stravinsky and they can’t enjoy them.
So, I’ll put some easier pieces, and you’ll see that it’s not that hard.
